James Patrick receives ACS Award

The Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters Club announces that James Patrick has received the Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS) award through his outstanding dedication to public speaking and leadership.

James Patrick was the founding President and current Treasurer, of Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters and works as marketing coordinator at Stantec Consulting Services Inc.

In order to qualify for the ACS award, Patrick performed 30 speeches and then conducted two programs from the Toastmasters Successful Club Series entitled Evaluate to Motivate and Meeting Club Roles and Responsibilities. Patrick has been a driving force for spreading an awareness of Toastmasters, bringing new members to the Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters group through hosting special events and membership drives. He is an active mentor, sharing his experience and passion for public speaking with new members.

Melissa Anguiz receives Competent Communicator Award

The Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters Club announces that Melissa Anguiz has qualified for the Competent Communicator (CC) award through her outstanding dedication to public speaking.

Melissa Anguiz is the current Vice President, Public Relations, of Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters and works as Public Involvement Specialist at Gordley Design Group.

In order to qualify for the CC award, Melissa performed 10 communication projects outlined in the Competent Leader manual.

Dave Hill receives Competent Leader award

David Hill receives CL Award

The Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters Club announces that Dave Hill has qualified for the Competent Leader (CL) award through his outstanding dedication to public speaking and leadership.

Dave Hill is a founder member and the current Secretary of Dusk & Dawn Toastmasters and he works as an Associate, Land Survey, at Stantec Consulting Services Inc.

In order to qualify for the CL award, Dave performed 10 leadership projects outlined in the Competent Leader manual.

The Toastmasters educational program consists of two tracks – a communication track and a leadership track. This program has helped more than four million men and woman develop their public speaking skills and become confident communicators at home, work, and social situations.

This club, which chartered in March 2007, is one of more than 10,500 Toastmasters clubs around the world providing its members with training in public speaking and leadership.
